<h3>What is Injury Treatment?</h3>Treatment for a sports injury will depend on factors such as how severe the injury is and the part of your body affected. &nbsp;<h3>Physiotherapy</h3>Some people recovering from a long-term injury may benefit from physiotherapy. It's a specialist treatment where techniques such as massage, manipulation and exercises are used to improve range of motion, strengthen the surrounding muscles, and return the normal function of the injured area. A physiotherapist can also develop an exercise programme to help strengthen the affected body part and reduce the risk of the injury recurring.<h3> What is Injury Treatment?</h3>Most sports injuries don't require surgery, but very severe injuries such as badly broken bones may require corrective treatment. This may include a manipulation or surgery to fix the bones with wires, plates, screws or rods. In some cases, it may be possible to realign displaced bones without needing an operation. Certain other injuries may also occasionally require surgery. For example, an operation may be needed to repair a torn knee ligament. &nbsp;

<h3>What is ABI?</h3>&nbsp;An ankle brachial index (ABI) is a non-invasive ultrasound test that assesses the lower extremity measuring the blood flow pressure. ABI can perform exams for diagnosis obstruction and can also perform modern efficient segmental exams that are multi-level and done with PVR.We are currently providing in clinic diagnosis using the state-of-the-art ABI-500 CL advanced multi-level operating system. This creates a more prompt in easier evaluation on determining the level of occlusion and diagnosing lower extremity peripheral arterial disease thus helping in identifying barriers for wound healing. &nbsp;

<h3>What is Debridement?</h3>&nbsp;Debridement is a natural process that occurs in all wounds and is crucial to healing. However, damaged, dead or devitalized tissue hinders wound healing. Removal of adherent, nonviable or contaminated tissue, debris (damaged, dead or devitalized tissue) and bacteria from the wound, minimize infection risk and encourage healthy granulation tissue formation and epithelialization, which promote wound healing. This can be done through different methods of debridement such as: 1. Autolytic debridement, 2. Enzymatic debridement, 3. Surgical debridement with sharp instruments, 4. Mechanical debridement and 5. Biological debridement Faster and more complete wound healing will be achieved with more frequent debridement regardless of wound type, size, or duration.

Debridement

Chronic wounds of the lower extremities are usually caused by venous leg ulcers or venous stasis and are often accompanied by swelling of feet and ankles, with profuse drainage. These ulcers are caused by venous disease that affects the circulation of blood in leg veins. &nbsp;They can usually be painful, distressful to the patient, present from several weeks to years and can be very costly.&nbsp;&nbsp;The standard treatment option for venous leg ulcers includes compression therapy. This involves applying external pressure around the lower extremities to help the return of blood flow from the legs to the heart. Compression therapy uses bandages, stockings, other specialized tapes or devices. The use of compression to the lower extremity will help to improve, expedite and play a vital role for healing of venous leg ulcers in addition to wound dressing and elevating the lower extremities whenever possible.&nbsp;&nbsp;Immediate and correct identification of the wound to the lower extremity is very crucial in appropriate and prompt management of the non-healing wound. In general, the goals of treatment are to reduce edema, improve ulcer healing, and prevent recurrence of wounds.
